Dr. Lenka Glassman, PsyD
Who I work with
I’m a licensed psychologist offering specialized treatment to children, teens, adults who are struggling with symptoms related to Anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, and Eating Disorders. I frequently work with families affected by chronic illness, panic, phobias, depression, and parenting challenges. I’m passionate about helping fellow humans recognize their own power, face their fears, and step into greater confidence.
Outside of my clinical work, I’ve authored multiple books for children facing mood and anxiety challenges, offer community parenting groups and present on topics related to anxiety, perfectionism, and all things mental health at local schools.
How I work
My therapeutic approach is grounded in research-based care, while integrating sound psychodynamic principles. I have advanced training and certification in evidence-based treatments including cognitive-behavioral therapy and it’s sub-specialities (ERP, SPACE, and ACT), allowing you to benefit from the most effective strategies available today. I’m also extensively trained in psychodynamic therapies, including intensive short-term and relational approaches, allowing for a deeply personalized treatment plan that is thoughtful, collaborative, and laser focused on getting you to a place of inner peace. I aim for meaningful results, efficiently.
My commitment to clinical excellence and specialization are the key to my clients’ (and my own) growth. I seek to offer the highest standards of care by continuing to pursue advanced training, and by consulting on a weekly basis with top experts in their fields. I’m one of those lucky humans who’s job is also their passion.
My decades of experience as a coach and group fitness leader allow me to incorporate mindfulness, yoga, and physical movement with many of my clients. Mental health and physical health are inextricably linked, and even small changes in your daily habits can help amplify your therapy results.
Personal qualities that I strive to bring to the therapy space include authenticity, directness, compassion and a dose of humor.
